I purchased this item in Nov., 2008. Since the beginning I knew it was not a smart inversion. The 18,000 BTU igniter takes way too long to ignite, thus filling the air with gas, and being a potential explosion on the way. As soon as the 1 year warranty was over, the burners started to disintegrate. The knobs are not stainless steel- they are plastic and all were melted and peeling plastic about 15 months after use. The burners are breaking into pieces of metal and rust,and the flames on 2 of the 4 burners are burning all of my pots and pans. I recommend you stay away from this item. If you read the reviews for other Electrolux gas stoves, you will see they too have the same problems.
